Each cage houses a low-friction stainless steel running wheel fitted with a magnetic reed switch, generating one TTL pulse per revolution. Activity is logged continuously per animal and integrates directly with PhenomeLab, Actimetrics ClockLab, or any standard data acquisition interface — providing an uninterrupted locomotor record without manual intervention.
